R.I.P., Angelo Badalamenti

Minutes ago, I learned of composer Angelo Badalamenti’s death. I’ve been a fan of his song “Twin Peaks Theme” for about 15 years—before I’d even seen the television show.

On August 17, 2015, I purchased the album “Soundtrack From Twin Peaks” from Amazon and fell in love with it.

Shortly thereafter, on September 11, 2015, the 25th anniversary of the album’s release, I registered the domain name 911TwinPeaks.com to show similarities I found between “Twin Peaks” and the September 11 attacks.

How 911TwinPeaks.com looked on March 5, 2016 (Nicholas Scribner)

You can see what the website looked like on the Internet Archive at the following URL: <https://web.archive.org/web/20160305073545/http://911twinpeaks.com/>.

I’ll be listening to and remembering music by Badalamenti today.
